Family members and significant others become very much part of the recovery process. It is important that family members learn to understand the disease of addiction and how to give priority to fulfilling their own needs and to detach from their desire to control the patient.
The family support program teaches and promotes healthy ways of responding to addiction related issues. Loved ones of those with addiction learn that they can't cure addiction, by becoming aware of the beliefs and experiences that shape their own behaviors, significant others identify new, healthy ways of coping with addiction and relationships.
Family conjoint meetings are structured depending on clients needs, open family forums are held every first weekend of the month.
